Forex Revolution: Book Review
I’ve recently been reading Forex Revolution by Peter Rosenstreich. The book is not written in a typical financial book style. It makes a great read due to the way it takes a look at Peter Rosenstreich’s own experiences trading on the currency market in almost an autobiography fashion.
The book begins with an excellent introduction to currency, giving a brief history on when and why currency began - why the US Dollar became the reserve currency - relationships between currencies, such as Cable (GBP-USD) and Dollar-Swiss (USD-CHF), and how global currency trading began in the 1970s.
The book is fairly light on technical analysis and therefore is not an exhaustive guide to charting for the beginner. However, the book covers the basics of choosing a broker and trading platform, whilst avoiding the many pitfalls that await new traders.
Peter Rosenstreich carries out some fascinating interviews with corporate currency traders, such as BMW, as well as global banks and well known currency trading brokers.
The key difference with this book compared to other books on the subject, is its honesty! Currency trading isn’t for everyone, the book quite clearly shows the many dangers involved in high risk trading such as Forex.
However, it is also clear to see the enthusiasm Peter Rosenstreich has for this type of trading. The book contains links to online resources, and recommended further reading for those wanting to enter the Forex Revolution.
